July 2024 Volunteers of the Month - Melissa & Robyn
Melissa and Robyn are the two awesome volunteers we want you to meet this month. These ladies are previous adopters and have more recently joined our volunteer family.
“We love all things animals. We are grateful to PPD for introducing us to our 2 dogs, 7 and 8 years ago (wow time flies!) We kept in touch with PPD and supported their donation efforts over the years.
We mostly focused on wildlife rescue and rehabilitation, becoming a sub-permit holder under a larger organization, raising and releasing orphan squirrels, raccoons, opossums, skunks, and bunnies.
BUT when a skinny, stinky dog showed up at our house we reached out to Brandi and officially became PPD volunteers and fosters.
Our resident dogs aren’t friendly to other animals, but we were able to make it work and have been able do some vacation fostering. We also transport medications, donations, and animals. Our hearts break for all the homeless pets out there.
We may not be able to foster full time right now, but we try and help in other ways.”
We have had a blast watching these kittens grow and it has been a good experience for my toddler as well. We are happy to see them go to good homes and look forward to continuing to provide a temporary home for cats in need.
Volunteering with Paw Patrol has given me an opportunity to meet new people and get more involved in my community.”
Please join us in saying a giant thank you to these ladies. We are so thankful for volunteers like you!
