August 2024 Volunteers of the Month - Haleigh Becker
The dog days of summer is a great time to stop and thank someone who helps these precious, innocent animals. For the month of August, we are featuring Haleigh (and her wonderful husband, Dustin) as our volunteer of the month.
Dustin’s mom is a huge part of our PPD family and this awesome young couple saw how great the need was and stepped up, even though they are new parents! Here is a bit about Haleigh:
“I started fostering with Paw Patrol because between being a new mom to a now 6 month old, a full time legal assistant, and being in the beginning stages of starting my home bakery I decided I didn’t have enough to fill my time
when a new mother cat wandered into our home (And also my husband told me I can’t keep every animal that shows up on our doorstep.)
After watching the work Paw Patrol has done over the last several years, since my initial interactions with my surprise puppies after rescuing our now ~12 year old pittie 6 years ago, and the small push from my mother in law
to actually go to an orientation I am so happy to have started into this journey helping animals, and have had a blast watching kittens ( a VERY new experience for me) grow and develop their own personalities, all while watching
their mom learning the comforts of house life.”
