May 2017 Volunteer Spotlight

Ruthie is our volunteer of the month for May. Ruthie is a fantastic asset to this organization. She does everything from reference checks to follow-up calls, adoptions, helping at events – she does any and everything asked of her and is always asking for more. We are so very thankful to have found her and we appreciate absolutely everything she does for Paw Patrol and the dogs.

When asked why she volunteers for Paw Patrol, Ruthie responded, “Rescue found me..I had just lost my boxer of 4 years (Riot) & swore I would NEVER get another dog. I’ve had wonderful dogs in my life but never a “Shelter dog”. My friend knew I had just lost my Riot & she showed me a picture of Chase. Love at first sight!! I got him a few days later & he was perfect..Why was he in the shelter? He was so sweet & gentle. I just couldn’t imagine why. A few months later I opened my heart to fostering & 30 some odd dogs later I found Paw Patrol. I can’t foster at this time but they have welcomed me as a volunteer with open arms and I, just like Chase, found my home. I am truly honored and blessed to be a part of this dog rescue.

Ruthie, you are a wonderful volunteer and we thank you so much!!
