December 2018 Volunteer Spotlight

Rebecca, our December volunteer of the month

During the month of December, we have chosen to honor Rebecca as our volunteer of the month.  She is a great asset to our team and we are very happy she chose us to work with.  Rebecca started volunteering for Paw Patrol Dayton as a foster in July after her dog passed. Rebecca wanted to help other dogs like her late dog, and wasn’t yet ready to make a long-term commitment to another dog, so fostering was a perfect fit.

So far Rebecca has fostered four dogs with Paw Patrol Dayton and enjoys helping shy dogs come out of their shell. In addition to fostering, Rebecca also helps out with adoption follow-ups and is a back-up application processor.

Rebecca has always loved animals, and has worked with everything from guinea pigs to horses. Rebecca started fostering cats and kitten with her family and volunteered with several animal rescue groups in Cincinnati before moving to Dayton. In November, Rebecca adopted Chewbacca from Paw Patrol who now helps her acclimate new fosters to life out of the shelter while they wait for their forever home.

Thanks for all you do, Rebecca!
