Paw Patrol has chosen to recognize Sarah as our volunteer of the month for April. Sarah has not been with us too long, but she has already made a huge impact in the organization. She is a dedicated and responsible volunteer who is truly making a difference. Here is a little bit about our April volunteer of the month:

Growing up my family always rescued our animals. We picked the “unique” dogs. If a dog was backwards, shy, or socially awkward, we were interested because they might not find a home unless otherwise. After I finished graduate school, I was able and ready for a dog of my own. I adopted what was thought to be a Shepherd/Lab puppy, but DNA later confirmed was a Shepherd/Boxer/Mastiff (surprise!). While he wasn’t what I was expecting, he is perfect.
As my first large-breed dog and puppy, I had a lot to learn. But it didn’t take long for me to become a dog mom. Having him in my life made me want to do more for dogs like him in the Dayton area, so I did some research and found Paw Patrol. I loved that it was a foster-based rescue and worked with the community to help keep dogs in their home. After going to orientation and a fundraising meeting, I knew this was it. I felt like I found a community of people who understood my passion for dogs. Paw Patrol has been a great way for me to help the community and share my love of dogs.

We are so happy Sarah found us and dedicates her time to helping dogs in our community. Thank you for all the hard work, Sarah!
